Hi Gwen

1841 census, Northumberland, Newcastle upon Tyne [All Saints], Keelman's Hospital [can't make it Freeman!]
HO 107/845/8 folio 21 pg 35

James Calbreath; 50; waterman
Elizabeth do; 50

Both born in county & ages rounded down to nearest 5 or 0.

These seem a little older than I was expecting - do they fit  Undecided

Hi Gwen

It would be a guess but looking at it again, her occupation could be publican - certainly looks like public.......

Hi Gwen

If this is the correct family, then I can't find Eliz snr in 1851

1851 census, Byker, Dents Hole
HO 107/2408 folio 257 pg 44

Elizabeth Calbreath; head; unm; 23; Newcastle
John do; son; 3; Byker
James do; son; 7 mo; Byker
John do; brother; unm; 22; labourer; Byker
Matthew Nichol; cousin; unm; 23; waterman; Byker

There is a Margaret Calbroth working as a servant b Byker of the correct age for the missing child

HO 107/2406 folio 180 pg 22
Newcastle, St John's, 40 Westgate Street
[household of Thomas Moffatt, master draper]

Margaret Calbroth; serv; unm; 15; domestic servant; Byker
