Fiche reading - a suggestion
« on: Monday 09 October 06 09:41 UTC (UK) »

I've no idea where to post this - so here's as good a place as any I guess.

Those for whom the cutting up of a fiche is sacrilege, should look away now, this is not for the purists I grant you, and suitable only for those who've done slide photography (before they went 'digital'!) but I've got around the fiche reading problem in my own humble way, which may assist someone.

What I do, is slice the fiche into its 'pages' and pop them into a transparency carrier (there's probably some technical term for that bit of plastic or cardboard - but you know what I mean), put the resultant slide in the projector and read it in comfort.

In this way I've also managed to take a digital picture of the projected image, either to print out or to store on my computer.

As I say this may make some people shudder with disgust, but it works for me.
