Aberdeen FHS Member No. 806 Hastie

Hello to Member No. 806 Hastie, Peterhead, St Fergus.

This is a long shot and apologies for any inconvenience.   I am researching my ancestor, Michael Hastie b. 1786 in Chatton, Northumberland, England, and who died at Stone Mills, St Fergus on 9 September 1821.   

You've got the same name - and in the right area!     Would you or your family be a descendant of this Michael please?   His parents and siblings were based in Berwickshire.

The latest edition (May 2006) of the A.F.H.S. membership list does not list a Hastie,  Member No.806. of Peterhead, St.Fergus.  This is a fairly early membership number, the highest being 16008. He/she may have allowed their membership to lapse.  If the person has submitted a Record of Ancestors Chart it will be on file.  If you contact the Society they would probably check for you and, should there be one, will photocopy it.
