Could someone please try to find for me William Macaulay age in 1841 would be about 15 born Tyrone

Hello Sue,

Three items are required when searching for Irish ancestors.

1. Denomination.
2. Parish.
3. Townland.

You'll have to rely on Church records as your ancestors were born prior to the introduction of Civil Registration in Ireland. This happened in 1864. The marriages of Non Catholic were registered from 1845 onwards.

First complete census for Ireland is 1901. Only small fragments of earlier ones for a few places survive.
