I am looking for information on my grandfather who lived in Glenconnor Cottages after the first world war. He was born in 1880 (or possibly 1876) and married Eliza Woods(?). He had 8 children - Eileen, Mary Christina(Chrissie), Annie, Jimmie, Jack,Tony, May and Teresa(Tessie). Can anybody help me find out anything on him and his service in the army from 1896 to 1918.

Further information on Michael. When he was invalided from the army he lived in Glenconnor Cottages in Clonmel. He went over to Manchester in the late 1950s and died in 1961. His wife died in 1941 in Clonmel.
The children all married as follows:-
Eileen m Jimmy Hill - Killed in car accident in 1951 in Manchester
Chrissy m Albert Leigh in 1946 Died in 1992
Annie m William Condon from Clonmel. Married in Clonmel early 1940ish
Jimmy m Doreen
Jack m Mary
Tony m Eileen
May m Ted
Tessie m Sean Leahy from Cobh

Sketchy information which may be correct is that his father , also Michael, married Ellen Flynn. Michael senior's father John married Kate Foran.
