Daniel had various spellings of his surname during his life. Below is a potted history of this man as a result of him falling foul of the law. I suspect his offence was political as the silk weavers were in dispute at the time. He was transported and did go on to live a full life in Tasmania and Victoria.
He was tried at Norfolk (City of Norwich) Assizes on 13 Aug 1821, for an unknown offence, and sentenced to Life. His native place was given as Co Fermanagh (Ireland) and his trade as Silk Weaver. He was 23 years old, 5'-5" tall had light grey eyes and dark brown hair. At time of trial he had a Wife & 1 Child at Norwich and lived with William Brandfield his wifes uncle at Magdalen St Norwich.
I am looking for any record of a marriage and birth of the child and names if thats possible.
