Cannock
« on: Tuesday 17 October 06 13:47 BST (UK) »

I'm trying to find out more about my family name (as subject above). I know that my great grand father was a charcoal burner and that the seat of the family is (probably) Coleford or (least likely) Cinderford. Can any one help please?

There is a Arthur Cannock born Cinderford with a son Edward could these be names in your family?
If you do have any christian names or dates it might help to get us onto the 1901 census. Smiley

Hi Bill

Do you have date of birth for grandfather William Cannock, also name of great grandfather the charcoal burner?  The more information the easier for someone to search starting with 1901 census   Smiley

Hi Bill

Have found a birth of William Richard Cannock 1907 Monmouth, would this be grandfather?  If it is, obviously too late for 1901 census!

Do you have an approximate date of birth for William Samuel Cannock, as there are a few William Cannock's in Gloucestershire 1901.

Regards
