Hi William
Scotlands People website has 5 John Brown's who died in 1941 in Lanarkshire, age between 0 - 1 years.
Also there are 2 Richard Brown who died between 1936 - 1940 aged under 5 years (narrowing down the ages, both listed are also aged between 0 - 1 years old), 1 of those is also in Lanarkshire.
Have you tried looking on this website, it is well worth it. Sorry, I am out of credits, so I am unable to view them for you.
