I have a copy of a passenger list (from T - V) and wondered if anybody was searching for someone who may be on the list. It contains my UREN family but I didn't want to waste information if it can help someone.
The passenger names and name of ship etc., are:

UNDERWOOD, George - aged 30 - Carpenter - "Indian Queen" July 1858 UNDERWOOD, Catherine - aged 29 UNDERWOOD, George John aged 9 UNDERWOOD, Mary Ann aged 7 UNDERWOOD, Henry aged 3
UPFOLD, Mary - aged 22 - Nursemaid - "Hotspur" 1859 or 1860
UPTON, George - 33 - Mason's Labourer - "Indian Queen" July 1858 " , Sarah - 25 " George - 6 " Maryanne - 3 " Male Infant (no age given)
URWIN, William - 22 - Carpenter - "Edward Oliver" Sept. 1858
VALENTINE, John - 28 - Farm Labourer - "Bride I" June 1859 " Elizabeth - 22 " Mary A. - 4 " John - 2

Don't know where you are resident but if in london it is worth trying the Maritime museum at Greenwich.
If your'e in CT : If the ship was bound for the Eastern Cape; Algoa Bay we found that our passenger names we wanted were in the newspaper section in CT Library.

Can anyone tell me please - if I find 'possibles' with the initial free search on Ancestorsonboard (1907 era to Cape Town) what extra information might be supplied if I pay to see transcript/image?

It should give full details of the ship and the voyage (except date of arrival), class of travel, whether travelling with other family, occupation and so on.
Having said this, it depends on the shipping line, the boat, the class of travel onboard and even the captain / purser who had to complete the lists, but it should be very worthwhile... not looking at the image would be a bit like not getting a birth certificate but instead relying on the entry in the birth index.
