Trying to sort out the possibility of the marriage at Abington :
James ARDILL to Frances Henrietta ROCHE on 5 August 1825
being linked to my family.
What I would really really like to know..... is did they have any children baptised there ?
Have been searching in Tipperary until now - but this may be a breakthrough ! Any help greatly appreciated !

Hi,
The catholic parish records for Abington start at 1814 BUT they have been closed by the bishop to public research and are only available through commissioned research with Tipperary family history research or Limerick Archives. See
http://scripts.ireland.com/ancestor/fuses/rcparishmaps/index.cfm?fuseaction=showidrecords&parish=Murroe,Boher-and-Abington&churchid=237
I think this is unfair myself.

I agree - it is so unfair......but I was under the impressions that the Ardill's were Church of Ireland.... are these records available ?

That's harder to tell. If you can't find out online, they may be either in the Representative Church Body Library in Dublin, in the National Archives in Dublin or in local custody of destroyed in the fire in the registers office in 1922.
