Looking for information on James Tulloch Stewart married to Margaret Stewart (Nee Liddell), they had three children Mary Margaret Stewart, Jean Tulloch Stewart and Robert James Stewart all born in the 1920's.
The children were separated at a young age due to the death of their mother Margaret, Mary the eldest child was sent to live with her aunt Lizzie her mothers sister whilst Jean and Robert remained with their father and stepmother Minnie until they became adults and went their separate ways.
Through this Mary, Jean and Robert lost contact with each other.
Mary, Jean and Roberts children after alot of searching are now in contact with each other and would like to know if they have any Stewart or Liddell relatives in Larbert or the surrounding areas.
Part of the family live in Grangemouth and we believe we may have some connection with family in Airth

I have Liddells but earlier than 1920. Can you tell me more about Margaret Liddell like year of birth, parents names etc.?

I,m sorry but I dont have any information about the year of Margaret Liddells birth or her parents names either.
Both Jean who was my mother inlaw and her brother Robert passed away several years ago, Mary is still alive but lives in New Zealand.
Whilst Jean was alive she never spoke about her family at all which is quite sad and I dont think Robert talked to much about his family either.
I believe Margaret died in the early part of the 1930's, I dont think she was very old possibly in her thirtys and the only other thing I do know is that she had a sister called Lizzie, which I am presuming is short for Elizabeth.
I know its not much help but its like trying to piece together a jigsaw.

We have found out that Aunt Lizzie lived in Camelon, dont know if she was married or not but would be interested to know if you have any Liddells in Camelon.

Hi NettieS,
it is just too little to go on. She would have been born abt 1900 if you think she was about 30 when she died. It would be a longshot but you could try looking for the family in the 1901 census.

Hi Dano,
I have done a wee bit of looking about and I am hoping the info I have is correct.
James Tulloch Stewart married Margaret Steven Liddell in 1922 in Larbert.
I found a birth certificate for a Margaret Steven Liddell who was born in 1894 either in Airdrie or New Monkland.
As of yet I have found no death certificate for Margaret.
James Tulloch Stewart was born in 1896 in Polmont.

Its been a while since I last posted on this thread but I hope you are still about sweetie as I can now give you some more information about who Margarets parents were.
Margarets father was James Liddell he was a foundry labourer and her mother was Mary Allan Liddell nee Wilson. According to Margarets marriage certficate they lived at and I am not 100% sure as I could have misread the first part Stratton Terrace Larbert
Margaret died on 3rd April 1934.

Your grandmother maybe my husbands sister. We were told a couple of years ago by a relative that my mother -in law may have had a daughter when she was young and they thought the daughter had been named Sheena.
