Do you have access to Peover records?
« on: Thursday 11 November 04 00:33 GMT (UK) »

If you have access to Peover Parish Registers would you keep me in mind next time you're checking them please?

I'm looking for any mention of a Richard Bolderston/Boolderston/Boulderstone & a Sarah Boulderstone. Sarah's 2 children were born in 1813 & 1816 illegitimately. Her son named Richard as his father.
I see 3 options:
1 They never married & Sarah's son invented a father to save embarrassment.
2 They married but if related the marriage may not have been acknowledged by the minister who baptised the children.
3 They married after 1816

Sarah is the 4th child in this family:

Name: Abraham Boulderstone
Birth: abt 1751
Death: 6 Mar 1825,   Ollerton, Cheshire
Burial: Mar 1825, St Oswald's, Lower Peover, Cheshire
Occupation: Husbandman
Other Spouse: Name unknown but he was a widower when he married Sarah

Marriage:   11 Aug 1777, Sandbach, Cheshire (By Licence)

Spouse: Sarah Cartwright
Birth: abt 1756
Death: 6 Mar 1827,   Ollerton, Cheshire
Burial: Mar 1827, St Oswald's, Lower Peover, Cheshire

3: Samuel Boulderstone

4: Sarah Boulderstone (My husband's line)

Spouse: Possibly Richard Bolderston/Boolderstone/Boulderstone.
--------------------------------------------------
5: Abraham Boulderstone

Occupation: Labourer
Spouse: Mary Davenport
Marriage:   27 Dec 1808, Lower Peover, Cheshire
--------------------------------------------------
6: Mary Boulderstone
Christen:   26 Jul 1789, Lower Peover, Cheshire
Spouse: John Gough
Marriage:   12 Sep 1815, Over Peover, Cheshire
--------------------------------------------------
7: John Boulderstone
Christen:   1 Jul 1792, St Oswalds, Lower Peover, Liverpool
Death: 21 Feb 1883
Occupation: Farmer. Yeoman
Spouse 1: Mary Wolfendale
Marriage 1: 3 Nov 1816, Manchester Cathedral
Spouse 2: Betsey Robinson

Hi Denyse

I do have some Peover marriage records and there is no mention of a Richard Balderstone marrying anyone, however there is a record of a Sarah Bolderstone marrying a Henry Davies
at Gt. Budworth St mary on the 21/july/1818, is this one of yours ?
