HAMMONDS of Stowupland
« on: Tuesday 24 October 06 17:32 UTC (UK) »

Edward Hammond & Sarah were the parents of Frederick 1814, Henry 1821, Sophia 1823, George 1825 and Thomas 1826.  The children and their decendents all lived in Stowupland for the next 50/60 years.  Does anybody know where Edward and Sarah came from.  It could be Stowmarket, Stowupland or Stoke by Nayland, all haveappeared in various records.  Does anybody have connections with or knowledge of this family.  I would be very interested to hear from you.

Thanks for this.  The Neil Langridge site was new to me.  I new a little of Edward Hammond and his wife Sarah but I cannot find her maiden name anywhere.  I did not know about Edwards army record that is fantastic.  I will need to follow that up.
