seeking mitchells. my grandfather was john alexander mitchell, son of john mitchell and eliza stewart. eliza was born 1868. my grandfather was born in fraserburgh he married lyla ann mcclennan williamson from dingwall and settled at the barracks of fort george, inverness, where my grandfather was a sgt in the seaforth highlanders. they had one daughter my mum vera may mitchell born 1935. my grandfather had two brothers robert, william. william married mary tennant and robert married carrie chalmers.
