Gt-gt-grandmother Elizabeth Nelson 1847- 1936

where might they be buried?
« on: Thursday 29 March 07 14:08 BST (UK) »

Hello

I am desperate to find the burial places, if they still exist of course, of some of my ancestors.

These include:
Ann Pinfold, death registered Dec 1852 Banbury (she lived in Neithrop)
Robert Pinfold died Sep 1880 Banbury
Mary Ann Pinfold died Sep 1864 Banbury
John Nelson died Dec 1882 Banbury
Sophia Nelson died Dec 1868 Banbury
John Nelson (snr) died Sep 1848 Banbury
Mary Nelson died Dec 1843 Banbury
Charles Brooks died 1836 Witney

If anyone with local knowledge could suggest which churchyards these ancestors may have been buried in, or even better, if anyone has ever seen any gravestones for the Nelson / Pinfold families in their local churchyards, then I would be extremely grateful for any information.

Kindest Regards, Julie

suggest the National Burial Index at Family History Online, for this one. It might cos a few pence per view, but often its worth it.

Best of Luck

Hi

Thanks everyone for your replies, links and suggestions, I'm off to do some searching right now!  Myfi - thanks so much for those three parish entries, the dates are perfect for my John and Mary Nelson and their son John.  Do you know if St Mary's church is still there, with a cemetary, by any chance?

Thanks again
Regards Julie
