PROVENCAL

I am seeking anyone by the name of PROVENCAL whos relatives served in the first World War in the army. I beleive there was only 17 of them, the soldier I am seeking information on was based in Scotland for a short period of time--possibly on transit back to Canada.

I am not sure if this will help you or not, but you can see the attestation papers online at the National Archives Canada.

You can then search the "War Diaries" section on the Archives site. You can search by unit name which is listed on the attestation papers.

I am assuming that you don't know their first name, or birthdate etc., so you will want to make it easier to search, as there are quite alot of pages in the diaries. After you find out which unit, check the date they enlisted, and then only check the pages that are after that. It is not a big help, but will make it a little easier.
