the series always seems to fly by.......although to be honest i haven't found this series as rivetting as the previous ones Undecided...............each seems to have the 'token' trip abroad.

although saying that i will still be glued to any future programmes  Grin

I've actually enjoyed this series more (sorry Margi) because of the themes.  And yes it has gone far too fast and I am really looking forward to tonight!

From my own perspective I have enjoyed doing (online) research in USA Canada and Australia. THe foreign trips do definitely stop the programs being too similar.

I love the series and all the episodes.

However, celebrities such as Julia and also David Dickinson, I have seen programmes before about their family and read articles about their family heritage.  So, I feel that it can't be that new to them and if they were so interested they would have followed it up after the previous studies or perhaps they already know?

THe foreign trips do definitely stop the programs being too similar.
You could agrue though that having a foreign trip every single week leads to the series being incredibly repetative.  I for one want them to explore aspects of British history...as a nation we have an extensive and varied history, and it seems rediculous to me that instead of exploring those areas this series they've chosen to take every opportunity to go abroad at the tax-payers expense.
Not that I haven't enjoyed this series, far from it...I've enjoyed it thoroughly and will be sad next week when I don't have a new episode to watch.  I would just like for them to now and again to explore ancestors like I and countless others have in their own tree.

I do agree that it seems each week the celeb gets a free trip abroad and I agree Golding about your points about wanting more aspects of British History.  I would like to see a programme about Ag Labs and the different aspects of their work.  I am only just beginning to understand the many and varied tasks an Ag Labs did!!!!

But I have still enjoyed this series!
