Determing whether a marriage is between your ancestors

I am trying to find my great great grandmothers maiden name.  I've found a marriage that seems to be the right time, according to when the eldest child was born but wrong place.  How do I get a quartley search instead and if I do find a better match how can I determine whether it's the right one?

Hi Tigces,

I don't know what time frame you are looking at... If there were children born after 1837, then a birth cert for one of the children would give the mother's maiden name.
