Iv'e disabled email scanner and there is six emails waiting in there,should I leave it as it is,or download the other programme.thanks again. Oonagh

I do have Norton,now if I uninstall Norton and enable AVG email scanner,will AVG still take all that time scanning my email,or will it zip throughit ,once Norton has gone??

You need to have the Scheduler set to update on a daily basis.
From the AVG Control Centre click on Scheduler and then on Scheduled Tasks (at the bottom of the screen) then ensure the "Update plan in basic mode" is enabled and a time is set for the update to take place.
From this same page you can decide whether or not to have the actual scan scheduled to run automatically each day. I (and I think most people) have this disabled and start the scan manually at a time that is convenient.

I had to download twice more before it arrived safely. While we are on this subject of AVG why do i have to keep updating it every couple of weeks or so.It seems always to be out of date.I thought it was supposed to update automatically
