Dennis Fairey was born c1867 in Ellington, son of William & Ann.
In 1871 & 1881 he is living with his parents & siblings in Huntingdon,St Benedict at Crawleys Yard. The family disappears in 1891, but Dennis re-appears in 1901 in Huntingdon St Mary & St Benedict, living with his Mum & Dad.
I have tried various spellings of the name for 1891, but can only assume that it has been totally wrongly spelled. Either that, or they moved away for a while. There is a slight possibility that he could have been in gaol (at the age of 9 he was on the Huntingdon gaol register of habitual criminals, and his father was not unknown there, either!).  Ann might have returned to her home town of Brampton, if this was the case.
Can anyone please help me to find the family in 1891, and also find a record of Dennis's birth? The surname can be sometimes spelled Farey or Fairy.

This looks like them surname mistranscribed as Havy.Living St Marys Hunts.
RG12 Piece 1237 Folio 92 Page 14.
William Fary?,Head,63,Ag Lab,Ellington,Hunts.
Ann,Wife,59,Huntingdon,Hunts.
Dennis ,Son,23,Coachmaker Lab,Ellington.

Heres his birth Ancestry has it down as Denise Fairey but have looked at the actual image and its Dennis Fairey born Qtr Jan 1867 in Huntingdon Vol 3b Page 251.

Hi, Welsh Lady
It looks as though they didn't move away from Huntingdon (St Mary's) at all, then, and I have maligned Dennis and his father by suggesting that they may have been detained elsewhere!
Thank you so much for this information. Now why couldn't I find that birth reference, I wonder?
