Could somebody please check the Boyds marriage for Over Cambridge 1835 for William Edwards and Sarah Berry. Any information on where each person was born; names of parents etc would be appreciated, Many thanks Chester
Most indexes are just that - an index. Some give whether the parties are widowed, and the parish of residence, but that's about all.
As you seem to know where and when they were married it's a case of checking with the parish register to get the extra details. But pre 1837 you don't usually get fathers's names - just the names of the two witnesses, plus the parish of residence at the time of the marriage, which is not necessarily the same thing as place of birth.
Check the Cambs FHS website at http://www.cfhs.org.uk/Search.html to see if they appear on the Baptism Index. Have you found them in 1851 which should give their place of birth?

I've checked the PRs-they got married on May 4th 1835. William was a bachelor and Sarah a spinster. The records also state that they were both from that parish and the witnesses were rebecca Berry and John Robinson. No ages or names of parents but that's quite usual for parish records at that time.
No Berry baptisms in Over at all. A few for Edwards but mainly pre nineteenth century.
