Redvers DANIEL - Devon - after 1900?
« on: Saturday 04 November 06 11:57 GMT (UK) »

Hi All,

I have just received a death certificate for one of my "lot" and the informant in 1970 was Harold Redvers Daniel - nephew - living in Ivybridge.
I have in my tree a Redvers Daniel, born in Ivybridge in 1900 - son of William - now my "quick" brain has worked out that his son is probably Harold, but how can I get any further details after the 1901 census - without any other details being available?

Any help please for this poor old northerner! Grin

Keith

Keith,

second post to you this morning and same info!!! Grin

Do try the Historical Directories, both for older items and some post 1900 as well. Not sure if this is one of yours, but there is a John Daniel, carpenter of Ivybridge in the 1914 Kelleys.

There may be others at earlier dates, but I have not looked these up yet

Good luck

Hi Rod,

"2nd time I have to say - "Thank You"  Grin Grin Grin

See I did say I was not used to my lot having "proper" jobs - so used to them being either Bargemen on my dad's side or papermakers on my mothers  - and none of them ever get listed!!

Right - As soon as I get the landlords in Hitchin sorted out - I will get onto the Daniels  - I do have a John Daniel in 1901 in Ivybrige as a joiner - but he was 59 then - so perhaps another relation!?

Thanks again - do you want to go for a hat trick - will think up another one!! Grin Shocked

Cheers
