Hi,
Would appreciate any information about this family and especially other children than the two listed:
William Tomlinson,age Abt 31
wife: Mary,age Abt 30
daughter: Isabella,age 6
son: William, age 5
All I know about the place is Derbyshire, if that isn't enough to do a search I will understand.

Hi Gardener,
The list of census dates that I have comes from Rootschat. My list shows an 1831 census on 30 May Monday.
The list was posted in reply to a Query on Census Dates by paulmh in the Common Room on page one.
I believe this census may be more or less a head count, but hoped for a scrap of any information at all.
Could you get back to me if it isn't possible to locate it?

Hi Gardener,
This family left England sometime in 1835 and I can't track them down. I can't use the 1841 census and,so far, I don't know where they went.
Thank you for all of your help and I guess I will just keep searching for that small scrap of information that is so far elusive!

My Marys maiden name was either Wheat or Smith. So far, I have only found this scrap of information about this marriage to William in England.
I can't seem to get a lead on her in England,but I intend to keep at it! Thank you for trying to find something on them, I really do appreciate it!

I'm sure that you know this, but there is an Isabella Tomlinson, parents William and Mary, bpt 02 JAN 1825 Cathedral, Manchester, Lancashire, England in the IGI. She has a brother Frederick William bpt 07 JUN 1829 Cathedral, Manchester, Lancashire, England .
Manchester isn't so far from Derbyshire but I don't see how you can every sort this out without striking lucky.
Where did this couple go to when they left England?

For example, if you can find the son William in a later cencus then it should give his place of birth as more than just Derbyshire.
