Thanks for that link ... I really enjoyed it ! Are there others?

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the articles regarding the 1841 census... eg: If the person has 2 forenames only write down one, only enter the county not the parish... if only they had known that we would be screaming out for the correct ages, all names and the parish where they were born   Roll Eyes Sad

You will find discussion did continue over the next two or three months editions. Glad you enjoyed the read. These old newspapers do hold some fascinating reading and this is an excellent insight into how the 1841 census was conducted.......Kris  Cheesy

That's a brilliant site Kris.

It contains loads of information including Births, Deaths and Marriages as well as News Articles and Obits.
