Searching the GRO indexes, I see the couple married in Dartford registration district in Kent in the March quarter of 1876.  Without an exact parish to search those records, no-one can find the parents' without buying the certificate.

Shocked Wow....George had alot of Harrietts in his life.
I did the same for George but if you would like the bits in between just nod.

   1851 Bishopstoke Common  HO107  1675

Charles Benham  H  M  52  Ag Lab  Bishopstoke
  Harriett Benham  W  M  49             Twyford Hants
Harriett Hooker    dau in law  U  24  Owlesbury Hants
John Hooker         son in law  U  20  Bishopstoke Hants
Mary Ann Hooker  dau in law  U  16      ''                ''
  Harry Benham  son   U    10                 ''                ''
  George Benham  son  U   6                  ''                ''
  Charles Hooker  Grandson  6  months   ''               ''

The discription of the Hooker children will be  confusing. If grandson Charles was not there i would be inclined to believe that all three were Harriett seniors children and should be down as step children....but John could be the son of Harriett and younger Harriett the girlfriend Huh as they are down as UnM.  Not sure though why Mary Ann is down as dau in law as well........... I will have a look at the 41 and see if Charles was married to someone else.

wow thank you.  It was the Benham that really stumped me.  I have ancestry membership that runs out in a few days and i have been searching all over the place and i didn't find this one.

Maybe i will look again.

Thank you.

I know this must the be one as on another census he said he was born in Bishopstoke Common.
