Can anyone help me here. How can I find out about a crime committed in Dorset in the 1960's. Would I have to go into each local paper archive. Or is there a site where I can get info?

I've just found your request.

This is very recent and could involve living people so I think you would probably have to go to the local papers, or at least ring them to find out where their back copies are kept.

A couple of sites that might help:

www.thisisdorset.net  (all local papers)

www.dorsetforyou.com   (local archives/records/etc)

I might be able to get to the records office in Dorchester if you can pm me with enough details.  Don't think you are local!
