He was born in 1877 in Lambeth Surrey.  Son of Alfred Benjamin Fisher, tailor.  Please could you find him in the 1901 census.

A tough one.  But this may be him?  I guess since you posted this on the Oxfordshire board you were expecting him to be outside of London ...

That  could be it as he married Jessie Gravatt and lived in Bengeo, Hertford . My Father was born in Bengeo in 1906.
