Hi Adrian,

Have you tried the Sussex Family history group? There is a member listed with interests in the Marsh family in Sussex for 18C? webpage is:

Mark - I have not, the issue of them possibly coming from Sussex rather than Kent is an avenue that has recently come to light. I will contact them. Thanks.

Bearkat,

Yes both Jean and Gail are related to me via Bridger MARSH, we are all stuck on this one.

Jan,
Thant would be great if you could.

Thank you all

Hi Adrian
Here are all the Marsh entries for Newtimber - no Bridger but since there are no Marsh marriages in Newtimber it is quite possible that he was baptised where they married. I didn't have time to check the Sussex marriage index but I know people here have it - if you find the parish they married in I can check it for young Bridger next time I go. Anyway this is what I found.

Jan

Thank you very much for doing that.

Its does look like if they are his parents he was born before they moved to Newtimber.

Hopefully they are in the index.

Thanks again
