My Great Great grandfather was Zachariah Fovargue and I have lots of family information on him and his many descendants. Don't know if it's the same one, but is likely as his family came from Crowland in Lincolnshire. Zachariah was a seaman who changed his name to Henry West. We have information suggesting that the Fovargues were Walloons from Belgium and have possibly connections going back to 1513. Don't know if this is the sort of information you need.

Hi Teazle,
My great grandmother was an Emma Fovargue also born in Crowland (1857) perhaps the sister of Zacariah. I'd be really interested in the details you mentioned - I know it was a long time ago but I've only just found her name.
