I'm trying to get more info re James Penn who was born in Dearham in 1817. As far as I can tell he married Jane Dixon in 1841 but she died in 1844. The next I know of him is on the 1881 census when his wife is Mary Ann with a few children aging from 24 down.
Can anyone please help me fill the gap?
