James ELMS bc 1775/76

I am trying to find the birth/place of James ELMS B1775/76. I have found a link to Lacock ,Wiltshire and a marriage in 1799 at CHIPPENHAM. His ancestors and my family links are from Lacock and in my case to the S Wales coalfields. I dont seem able to find his birth in Wiltshire. Any information welcomed.

James Elmes Christened 30 June 1770 Church Knowle Dorset
Parents were  Thomas and Mary.
