SA BDM available dates

Hi All,

Does anyone know if SA has released any further BDM entries recently.

I'm trying to trace two gentlemen who were born 1909 and 1916. I am assuming that they have died by this time but cannot find anything except brief WW2 service summary.

Just in case they (or their children) are still alive, I have not supplied their names but if anyone knows how to find "recent" BDM info, I'd appreciate a note.

Hi Di,

The latest available BMD's are

Births 1907-1928
Marriages 1917-1937
Deaths 1916-1972

For later deaths you will have to try for burials or newspaper notices

Hope it's OK to mention names if I'm looking for a death record  Huh (else please delete this)

The two brothers I'm looking for are
MEDCALF Frederick Francis - born 1909 SA
MEDCALF John Lawrence/Laurence - born 1916 SA

The both served in WW2 and enlisted in SA so can only hope there may be some sort of record in SA!

Any help or guidance very much appreciated.

I REALLY would like to find any descendants but that is wishful think at this stage.

no marriage up to 1937 in SA have  put  this  birth  here  as  he  has  died  in 1997

Frederick Francis Medcalf 27/6/1909 New Parkside Adelaide 825/2 parents  same as brothers

no marriage up  to 1937 in SA

parents marriage

Frederick Francis Medcalf aged 39 S father Frederick Francis Medcalf
married 3/6/1908 to
Isabel Russell aged 24 father William Russell at the
Residence of H G Fisher Woodville PtA 235/545


Isabel Medcalf died 1/10/1927 498/352
aged 43 henly beach North Adelaide relative Frederick Francis Medcalf(H)


Frederick Francis Medcalf died 3/1/1942 645/192 aged 72 W Henley Beach no  relative
