Thank you so much for the information ... I have the 1871 and the 1881 census.  he is living at 3 Wishlades Row, Kington in 1881. aged 69 and widowed.  He was 'still' a Carpenter. (lodger)  I wasn't able to find the death entry, so that brilliant - Thank You.

Now all I need to do is go backwards .. not an easy job prior to 1841!

One of my ancestors' sisters, Catherine Morris, married Jun 1874 a George Smith in weobley. I don't know where he came from, she was born in Kinnersley but the family had Kington connections, and she was born in 1849 so the age is more or less accurate. Do you think there's any connection?

Hi, its a bit of a random shot in the dark but, are any sibblings of these people related to an Ada Violet Smith/Ada Smith/Ada Jane Smith and her children Samuel James Smith(my great grandfather) born about 1893 and Alice Smith? Ada Violet Smith is a bit of a mystery women on our family tree search, we know Samuel James and Alice were born in Weobly and that Ada got married in Credinhill to their step father A. Williams, she was a spinster but we have no records or information for the Smith family name apart from the ones mentioned. The places mentioned are close to kington and our family also now live in Wales as Samuel James came down to work on the railway. It may be a coincidence but i thought was worth a try incase we are linked.

thanks.
