Can anyone point me to a list of war casualties--both World War One and Two--for Queniborough? I'm particularly looking for details of any of the Riley family, including an Eric Riley who I believe died in France, but unfortunately I don't know during which war... and can't guess, don't have a date of birth, just a photo: http://www.alisontoon.com/mysteryphotos/ericriley.jpg
Southern or Southan [Hereford , Monmouthshire & Glos], Jenkins, Meredith and Morgan [Monmouthshire and Glos.], Murrill, Damary, Damry, Ray, Lawrence [all Middx. & London], Nethway from Kenn or Yatton. Also Riley and Lyons in South Africa and Riley from St. Helena. Any census information included in this post is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
I eventually found him, in the Commonwealth War Graves directory (cwgc.org):
- his name wasn't Eric, it was E.C. (pencil writing was smudged on photo and I just saw "Eric"), short for Edward Cecil - he went by Cecil, not Edward - and the CWGC record is for C.E. Riley.
Died and buried in Ypres. And now found again! :-)
