Trying to find details of my late father

I am trying to find anyone who knew my father his name was Thomas William Matthews dob 06/10/1915 and he served in the RAF, when he left the raf he went back to his job as a tailor with Hector Powe in London, he met and married my mother Ivy Rose Proctor in 1947 - if you have info please get in touch - thankyou

You should be able to get his military records from the MOD (you will need to give proof of his death).  If you are looking for people who knew him there are some possiblities:

1) Once you have info on his RAF service, looking for people who served with him.
2) Looking for other people who worked at Hector Powe.  For example:
http://www.tailoratdrum.co.uk/ - business run by Stanley Shanks, who worked for Hector Powe for ten years.
3) From his marriage certificate, there should be the names of two witnesses - probably family or friends - there might be a chance to track them down if the names are unusual enough.

The other possiblity is tracking down other family members - do you know if he had any siblings? Even if the family later lost touch, there might be relatives who have family photos and stories.
