Does anyone have links with the Barnard family of Oxford City(St Ebbe) .They were tailors. Moved to East Avenue about 1890's

I have all info after 1816 but can't get before that.

This is a real longshot, but I don't suppose they could have lived in Finchley in the 1920s, could they?
Also, do you happen to know if they were Jewish?
I am trying to identify a Barnard family who were Jewish in lived in Finchley at that time, and, as you know, tailoring is a common Jewish trade.  I will ask my mum if she remembers what they did for a living.
Sorry if this is a complete red herring, but I just had to ask.

I'm at work at the mo so i will get back to you tomorrow when i have the info of my great grand father's siblings. They may have moved elswhere.
James Edward Barnard was born in 1866 oxford and Edward Barnard in 1835

My mother always thought that they were jewish.
There is some info about them on Oxfordshire Lookups- Help and advice . DJFRENCH
I've had some great help going backwards. It seems that they did not originate from Oxon and not necessarily always Tailors.

I will await your report with interest.  They weren't rellies of mine, but neighbours of my grandparents, and my mum remembers them, but only as "Mr and Mrs", as she was a child, and that they were Jewish.  I have often wondered who they were exactly. I might have a photo of one of them, but not at all sure about that; would require investigation.
