1841 census lookup please BEECROFT

Hi there,

Am looking for a John Beecroft in the 1841 census.
He was born about 1819 and died in Knutsford in 1843.

I'm also looking for his sister Jane Rebecca Beecroft in 1841. She was christened in 1822 Knutsford.

This is the closest I can find,

John Beecroft 1818 Lancasire Salford. Parents John 1786 (not born in Lancs) and Mary 1784. Other children; Ann 1816, Joseph 1822, Mary 1820, Thomas 1824.

Thanks for that not really sure if that's them or not?? but thanks gives me another tangent to follow!! LOL

Is it possible for someone to please find that family in 1851 census - maybe that might help me further.

Hi Lilygirl,

If this is the same Beecroft then he married Elizabeth Carless at St Michaels, Tameside on 27th December 1840. He died and Elizabeth later had my gt gt grandfather Thomas Hilditch in 1852 - a weird one both the children Thomas and Ellen were Beecrofts on their birth certificates and then when they moved from Congleton to Macclesfield to Burnley their surname changed to Hilditch. Thomas Hilditch who I assume was their father was her lodger in 1851! (no record of marriage that I can find etc and she changed her surname to Hilditch). If this is the same John Beecroft (his middle name may have been Wesley) then I would be interested to know what information you have about them.

living in hyde cheshire in 1851-
