Hi All

[speciallly Prue]

Inthe AGE this morning is a wonderful item and photos about Ned Kelly's mother and family.

Some new photos have turned up which were taken by Detective Fred Piggot in approx 1920's

They show Ellen Kelly and her last living son, Jim, together with a car and some other people. They are in a in the open country.

As so often in these wonderful discoveries, the find of the photos was pure luck being part of a collection of old memorabillia  belonging to Piggot.

Love to know what Prue and others think of them...assuming they are published in other State's papers.

No, I can't find a way to view them online either.
disappointing.
I also thought I would look at the war record of the grandson of Ellen [Kate's son] who was mentioned in the article. Fred Foster.
Well it is there all right on NAA, but NAA is still not working properly and no digi images can be viewed. -couple of days now out of order!

PS - the KELLY family have a link with my hubby's lot - the family rented the farm from Elizabeth MUTTON at Avenel - 3rd g grandma.

  I can't get a good response from digi display on NAA.
