Welcome to Rootschat Smiley

I tend to send a friendly reply & thank the person for their time & efforts or whatever is appropriate....just being polite really, especially if someone has gone out of their way to do something for you.   Cheesy

Have fun!   Grin

Welcome to RootsChat

If it was a look-up, then it is helpful to add "- Completed" to the thread title:

(a) so that the Board Moderator can file it away in completed look-up requests

(b) so others know you are not "still looking" for info.

If the response is not all that you are after, say "thank you" and explain what else you are looking for.

Thanks for your replies.  Basically what I was trying to say was I don't know how to access the correct places to post a reply.  Does it go with the topic - which is where I am putting this one.  Sorry I didn't make myself very clear.  As a newbie I am having some problems negotiating my way around - but everyone is so helpful.  Many thanks.

Hi Ceeoh

As mentioned above, plus you can use the personal message system to talk to others.

click on the little grees "scroll" under their name and type into the box that appears - a bit like an email.

Enjoy rootschat!
