Hi, I too have been using Ancestry.com and Ancestry.co.uk for some time there is a lot of information here, and I have never had any problems. The site isv very easy to use and understand.
One slight disadvantage is that the 1871 census now on line is still a bit dodgy especially for Staffordshire area - teething problems

Hi,
I've been using Ancestry since May this year, and have found it very useful, since I live quite a way away from the areas my ancestors lived in.
I couldn't have got as far as I have without it.
Its quite a bit of money to shell out in the first place, but as I've said, its well worth it.
Regards, Rebecca

Hi Molly and John
As Rebecca says - the only 'pitfall' is the price, though I think its worth the money myself. There is a host of good information on it. I suppose it depends what you want from it.
If you are only interested in UK records you can of course subsrcribe to Ancestry.co.uk for a bit less.
Regards

My other half gave me the Ancestry subscription as a birthday presy! I've been finding my way round the site, it is very useful and now the 1881 images are available too.
