I am trying to find John Seeby b. 1863 Wormley, Herts on both the 1891 and the 1901 Census. He was married to Louisa Seeby and I've found her on the census living in Wormley but her husband is not with her. He had children after 1901 so he was not dead. Any ideas where he could be? I've done search after search with my paid subscription on Ancestry.co.uk but it comes up with nothing. The transcriptions spelling of the surname is shocking ranging from Serby, Soby, Suby and Seaby. Was he in prison? They were married in 1892 and had 8 children from then on. The last Census he is on is the 1881 Census - John Seeby (17) is a lodger at High Road "Old Star Inn" in Ware, Herts listed as General Labourer.
Would really appreciated a bit of help here.
Thanks
Michelle
