Civil Parishes in Mayo
« on: Wednesday 06 December 06 13:35 UTC (UK) »

The Balla Civil Parish website is similar to that of Bohola but much more information is required.

The Bohola Civil Parish website contains interesting information about the townlands in the parish including, in some cases, the name of the landlord and his agent. The landlords for the area are listed for the years 1635, 1655 and 1838. The site is still being constructed so if anyone has descriptions or pictures of any of the townlands please look at the message at the end of the details of the townland in which you are interested. Anything you can add will help others interested in the same townland.

Allan Scahill's website contains a good map of South Mayo and the main towns in that area of the County.
