Missing Greenwood 1861 census

I'm looking for John Greenwood (b.c1825 Liverpool) who married Mary (b. c1832 Liverpool or Dublin) who had a son, Thomas b. c1860.  They were in Chester in 1851 and 1871, but not 1861 and I can't see then in Liverpool either!

Any help gratefully received!

There is a John bc1821 (Liverpool) + Mary bc1823 (Liverpool) + Thomas 2months old + other children John, Joseph, James ? in Liverpool St Martin

There are quite a few to sift thro - what occupation do you have for him?

Not a perfect match, but there is a family in Liverpool St Martin headed by John Greenwood, 40, blacksmith b Huddersfield with wife Mary A., 38 b Liverpool with children James 14, Sarah 10, John 7, Joseph 2 and Thomas 2 months, all born Liverpool.
