Unfortunately I found no record of any Eleanor Watson (or M(a)cDonald) birth in Aberdeenshire. Sad

Hi grothenwell

From the records I have received from the highland council Inverness
Eleanor was b c1842
Mother Mary MacDonald born 21.1.1823
father William Munro b  c  1823 Tain d Oct 1894 Pitsligo Shoemaker son of Janet Munro .

It goes on to say Janet was a pedler
1894 William Munro shoemaker single illegitimate died 4.10.194 at Sandhaven Pitsligo aged 72

Parent Jannet Munro Pedlar (deceased ) fathers name not given
informant William Watson son in law

1861
Also given was William Watson son of William but no mother
aged 3 so maybe William Jun's mother died at childbirth and William sen was left to bring up this son

Thanks for getting back to me I now have to look for William jun

Thank you everyone who helped me on this thread regarding my Munro's and Watson's.

I thought I would send off to Edinburgh for William Watson Jun born Tyrie about 1858 ,as he is three in the 1861 census

However I have not got enough info to acquire a birth certificate .Is there any way I can get the correct dates ie:

day month etc
