Census lookups please

I am trying to trace Frederick Richard Kitto who left Cornwall in the 1800s and went north.  Does his name appear on any Cheshire census records before 1878 please.

                    do you realise you have this posted on the derbyshire lookup site??!!  Are you looking for him in Derbyshire or Cheshire and can you say how old he was? Was he married? what was his occupation and how do you know where he went. It all helps us to look for him for you. Most early census are only searchable by place name. All the best Anjo

Sorry, I sent to same message to several counties boards and forgot to change it from Cheshire to Derbyshire on this one !

I have now established that he was born in Manchester in 1850 (under the name Richard Kitto) taken from the 1851 census.  I don't know where the family were in 1861 but in 1871 his parents were in Newark on Trent Nottingham with Richard teaching at a college in Hampshire.

I am trying all northern counties in the hopes that I can track down where the family was in 1861.
