Hi there
Looking for John & Mary Haines and children: William b1819; and Richard b 1823 Eton. John died in 1844 but I don't know about Mary. Richard married Elizabeth Wood in London in 1848 and they migrated to Australia in 1849. Richard's occupation on his marriage cert. is Stationer (does that mean trains or pens & paper?)
Thanks, Jane

I am going to the Bucks RO tomorrow so can I have a look for you for a possible marriage and births. Stationer at that time would be paper as most rail industry employees had specific titles.

Had a quick look at Eton baptisms but not feeling that good today so didn't spend much time there.
William was baptised 25th Dec 1819. Parents John and Mary. John was a butcher.
If you want any further look ups - marriage etc, I can have a look next time I go.

Thanks Jo . Hope you're feeling better soon.
If you could find any information about John & Mary which might help to trace them further back (marriage, maiden name, parents Etc) that would be excellent, if not too much trouble.
Have a great Christmas, Jane

Just to let you know that I haven't forgotten you. I went to the RO on Wednesday but all the readers were in use. I have booked a reader for Wednesday. So will get back to you then.

Managed to get to look at Eton records today. Alas there is no marriage that I can see for William Haynes and Mary in Eton between 1800 and 1822.
There is a marriage William Haynes to Caroline Richards in Eton in 1822.
I checked on the FHS database and there is a marriage of William Haynes in Olney 1801 to Mary. If you think this is a possible, I can check next time I go (Probably next week)

Thanks for that Jo.
If its not too much trouble the marriage of date of the parents, John Haines & Mary X c1816 (William is one of their sons ) and/or their christening dates, which would be c1795 I guess, would be fantastic.

Oh My
I can't believe I looked for marriage of William and not John. Nevertheless, I would have spotted any Haines but I will double check when I go again and try and see if I can find the bapstism of John too.

Finally got a look at the Eton PRs. Nothing for a John Haines marrying a Mary in Eton 1800 to 1822 or a birth for John 1790 - 1800.
Like alot of Bucks parishes, across the Thames (over the bridge) and you are in Windsor Berkshire.
