1861 lookup - Alva
« on: Friday 22 December 06 16:32 GMT (UK) »

Hi,

My Gt Gt Grandfather Robert Jamieson married Christina Boyd in Stirling on 23/11/1845. She died in November 1868 of Typhoid fever.

Can anyone look her up in the 1861 please, as I can't find her before the wedding, and don't know where she was born or who her parents were.

Thanks, Bob.

This looks like a good fit for Christina with family in the 1841 Census:

William 60 Woolen H L W
Christina 55
John 30 Woolen H L W
Janet 30
Elizabeth 25 Woolen H L W
Christina 20 Woolen H L W

Address: Lower Bridge Street, St Ninians, Stirlingshire.

Everyone showing as born in the county. No relationships given within the household in the 1841 census. Also, normal rounding down to the nearest 5 years for everyone over 15.

Regards.
