Another little hint about self hits - you have to put a blocking cookie for Firefox and IE if you test on both.

Gadget

Just to add to that,
Cookies are always stored locally on your computer, and each browser has a different way of storing cookies,

so:
- if you have more than one browser on your computer (and you really need as many as possible, for testing out your site), then each browser needs to set a cookie

- if you have more than one computer (or use your work computer as well), then  you need to set the blocking computer on each browser on each computer

I have 4 browsers and 3 computers, Bob  Shocked Shocked Shocked

But I only use two to test - but that's 8 blocking cookies I had to install!

Oops - just realised - I've upgraded to IE7 on one - will I need to install another cookie or will the IE6 one still work?

If you want to check how your site looks to other viewers there are a number of test sites available.
One is-
http://www.anybrowser.com/siteviewer.html
Scroll down the page a little to  Other Compatibility Levels and add your url in the box provided and set what type of browser you wish to view with.

Another is at

Visited your website. It was very easy to navigate. Fantastic pics. Went through them all. You are very lucky as most appear to be in great shape.

Thanks for sharing and it wasn't a "shameless plug".

Thanks

There are quite a few more pics, it's having the time to organise them!

I keep thinking 'when I retire I will do this'

Bob -

I planned to finally get to my projects (one of which was my family pics) when I retired. Unfortunately that hasn't happened .... not retirement just getting to my projects. I am busier now than when I was working. My family pictures are still waiting to be categorized and put into albums. Good Luck with your pics.
