1911 census for Carnmoney
« on: Saturday 30 December 06 10:41 UTC (UK) »

I've ordered the 1911 census for Carnmoney and hopefully will be able to view it soon - number 1999328 which covers Collinward hopefully.  If anyone wants a lookup I would be happy to comply - as long as there isn't a mad rush.

Heres the info:

1911 Carnmoney D.E.D. 129/8-14 Townlands: Carnmoney Glebe, Collinwood, Glenfoomley, Ballyduff, Ballyhenry, Glengormley. 1911 Monkstown D.E.D. 130/1 Monkstown Town

For a lookup please start a NEW TOPIC on the Antrim LOOKUP REQUESTS board.

Hi if its not too many can you see (when the film arrives) if there are any families with the surname GEORGE. I've found several on familysearch from Carnmoney but not sure if they are connected to mine they may well be gone by 1911 census. One of mine looks like being from Carrickfergus originally then moves to Belfast and Larne.

Sorry I'm not sure if I'll be able to get to the LDS before they send this particular film back - someone in Belfast may be able to access it?  I took a note [or rather a scribble] of the heads of the household though:

There is a William Gault in Monkstown at the start of the section - beside James Montgomery, Jane Blair, Robert Heffron, James Hagan, Samuel G Wilson, Maggie Johnston, Arthur Kennedy, James Campbell etc

OH and further on there is a Robert Gault [...James Shaw James Hunter Robert Rea Robert Gault Mary A Hamilton Robert McNelley James Dawson....]

I have ordered the films for Whitehouse Drumadrough Dusanney .....for 1911.  May be a month before these are in.  I have most people in the Whitewell area if anyone is interested?

Thanks!

By the way looking at your names -- there is a James and Margaret Porter aged 40 and 32 [didn't record family] in Collinward and a John and Sarah Kirkpatrick aged 48 and 53.

There is a French family here [thought someone was looking for them?]

A James Stevenson aged 73 Ballyduff
A Thomas George and Emily Stevenson 43 and 41 years Mossley
A Jane Stevenson [Widow] aged 38 4 children all alive beside a Robert and Ellen Stevenson aged 42 and 43 married 16 years 4 children all alive in Carnmoney
A Brown? Davidson [Not sure about note] in Carnmoney Glebe.

A William and Jane Rea 44 and 48 with Children Ellen William Jane John James Sam in Mossley [for the girl looking for George - notice Rea in her list].

Hope this may help?  I sometimes didn't bother with children - just took a quick note.
I'll maybe make a list of them sometime!
