Would like to hear from family researching the above names who all lived in Sudbury. My wifes G/G grandfather was Isaac Hempstead (b: 14 Feb 1827 Sudbury) & married Emma Clara French (b: abt 1829 Sudbury) her mother was Jemima Healey (b: abt 1803 Sudbury)
Many thanks for any help & or old photo's. Isaac came to Australia with his wife & family in 1857.

My ggggrandfathers sister Louisa Willett Prior married JohnNewell 10th October 1858 at All Saints Church Sudbury.They had the following children---
Eliza 1856,George 1859James 1865,John 1868 and Francis 1871.
They were all born in Cross Street Sudbury.

I have in the computer a John Newell born 10 Dec 1836 Sudbury with his mothers name being Kezia born abt 1819 at Sudbury & father John Newell born ?. Her maiden name was Rogers & her fathers name James who married a Letitia Ward. All of this in Sudbury

Hi Ringrose,
James Rogers (1799) m to Letitia Ward, is my g-g-g-g/grandfather's William (1807) brother.
A lot of the Rogers family lived in Cross St, Sudbury.

do you know any more about Letitia Ward?  and Keziah?

I found Letitia on the 1841 census without James, but haven't found a death for him.  Alos could only find Keziah and no other children for them.  I wonder if Letitia re-married after James died?
I have Keziah marrying Jonathon Newell on the 30th July, 1837 at Sudbury and having five children -
JOhn (1838)
Eliza 1842
Benjamin 1844
Emma 1846
George 1848

NOTTINGHAM - Lambert and Selby
BERKSHIRE/then Hammersmith/Barnes LND - Fulker
LONDON/MDX - Murray, Clancy, Broker, Hoskins, Marsden, Wilson, Sale

Gt-Grandfather Michael Wilson was born in Cork, lived in Fulham London - arrived Boston USA 1889 alone - what happened next?

Sorry I can go no further back than Keziah being the mother of John Newell. I know liitle about the Newells as they married into my direct ancestors and I have only come across a couple of snippets doing research into my side. Sorry I can be of no help.On John Newells marriage cert to Louisa Prior his father is John a labourer and one of the witnesses is Eliza Newell.

Suffolk Sudbury,Parish of all saints
John Newell jnr 22 years bachelor, barge man,of this parish,croft street, father William Newell snr bargeman.
Kezia Rogers 19 years,spinster, Silk Winder,of the same,father deceased,Silk weaver.
Witnessed by ;William Newell jnr, Eliza Parish, Peter Ahton snr
